I ask myself this question almost every day. Where did the time go? As I get older, I’m asking myself this question in terms of years, because those seem to be flying by too 🙂 .

Today, I’m asking myself where the last 21 years went. Our grandson, “little” Austin, has a big birthday today. As I look back at the pictures over the years, and remember his early life health struggles, I just thank the Lord for today. He is a gift from God, literally. The Lord has protected him through every diagnosis, surgery, and recovery. He’s a fighter, but more importantly, this young man is a blessing to everyone he meets. Oh, and ya, I should mention, he has a few folks wrapped around his little finger 🙂 .

Austin, we love you and wish you the happiest of birthdays! Today, and every day, I offer this prayer for you.

Watch over thy child, O Lord, as his days increase; bless and
guide him wherever he may be. Strengthen him when he
stands; comfort him when discouraged or sorrowful; raise
him up if he fall; and in his heart may thy peace which
passeth understanding abide all the days of his life;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
