Our choir has been in England for the last ten days or so. They are there on a choral residency. Meaning they are singing in several cathedrals there while their choirs take summer breaks. Friday and this morning, we were able to watch them via the cathedral live stream services. Watching this wonderful group of musicians sing in the most beautiful places of worship has been humbling. Our young musicians from our “little church” in the massive Anglican Cathedrals, truly inspiring.
As I watched the choir and the service this morning, what came to mind was: thanks be to God for the gifts he gives to His children. He has blessed these young people with the gift of beautiful voices. They, in turn, are sharing that gift with others through worship.
This morning, friends, I share this simple message. God has gifted each of us with our own special talents. No matter how great or small, we all have talents that we can share with others. Sharing those gifts and talents is a way to serve and honor our Lord. Make someone’s day a little brighter, their load a little lighter, their life a little fuller by sharing of yourself.
Have a great day, everyone. Prayers for our choir as they travel home tomorrow, and continued prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
