Saturday Peace

This morning I enjoyed a very peaceful time with Father on my lanai. I’ve shared here many times that Saturday mornings are different for me. A little later rise time and the quiet of the lanai are wonderful. The usual morning traffic that I can hear in the distance during the week is not there on Saturday mornings. Our lake is quiet before the fountain begins to flow for the day. The wildlife is waking up and searching for breakfast. It’s just a very peaceful time and one that helps me connect more closely with Him.

As I sat down to write this little blog and thought about the peaceful time with Father, a verse from Philippians came to mind:
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

It makes me wonder what peace we will find when we are with Him in eternity. Thinking about the peace I feel on Saturday mornings, I realize this is nothing compared to the peace that God gives. Wow, it’s going to be amazing in Heaven one day πŸ™‚ .

Friends, we need to carve out those moments each day, not just Saturday, to be at peace with the Lord. Let Him fill us with His grace to live more fully into Him. Doing so will make the days a little brighter and our work here a little easier.

Have a good day, friends. Enjoy your Saturday; may it be filled with family, friends, and peace πŸ™‚ .

Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
