If you’ve been reading this little blog for very long, you know that I’ve come here at times sharing how I don’t have a clue what to write some days. I try to jot down notes when something comes to mind during the day, or when a situation occurs that is clearly God at work. However, some days I sit down and, yep, I got nothing…
As I thought about that this morning yes, one of those mornings when words aren’t coming easily, I thought about the Lord’s Prayer. I thought about when I feel lost some days and wonder if Father hears my prayers. At those times and in those moments, the comforting words of His prayer are always there. They come to mind so easily when there is nothing else, whether it be words for a little blog or times in our lives when we feel lost and alone.
So, this morning, friends, I share Father’s Prayer. If you are feeling lost, if you don’t know what to pray, if you simply don’t have the words, let His words guide you.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.
Have a good day, everyone. Continued prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
