Give Yourself Grace

This morning, as I thought about this week coming to a close, ya, I can’t believe it’s Friday already, I thought about conversations I’ve had with friends. I’ve had some text and verbal conversations with friends over the past few days, and we’re all feeling a need for rest, both physically and mentally. This weekend is coming at just the right time, me thinks 🙂 .

So, today, I wanted to share a prayer that I read specifically for the end of the week. It was what I needed this morning, and I hope it will be meaningful to you as well. Sometimes, just the simplest of prayers can be enough to give you the strength you need to continue the work that must be done.

Dear Lord, I’m feeling the weight of this week. Some days have gone better than others, and today I don’t have as much energy as I did on Monday. Please renew my strength. Help me stay patient when I’m frustrated, kind when I’m tired, and faithful in the responsibilities You’ve given me. Remind me that I don’t have to rely on my own strength because You’re with me every step of the way.

Thank You for walking with me through this week, even in moments when I forgot You were there. As I begin today, help me stay centered and present instead of rushing ahead to the weekend. Give me the focus to do today’s work well, the grace to love the people around me, and the wisdom to know what can wait. Whatever this day holds, I want to honor You with it.

God, there are things from this week I’m still replaying in my mind. Today I give those things to You. Help me let go of what I can’t redo, and help me find peace. Teach me to trust You with unfinished work, unanswered prayers, and uncertain outcomes. Fill my heart with peace as I leave this week in Your hands.

Father, as the weekend begins, help me receive rest as a gift from You. Protect me from filling every empty moment with more work or more distractions. Help me slow down, enjoy the people You’ve placed in my life, and make space to spend time with You. Refresh my body, renew my mind, and remind me that my value doesn’t come from my accomplishments. Thank You for caring for me all week long. I trust You’ll care for me in the days ahead too. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Friends, I hope you’ll take time to slow down a bit this weekend. Give yourself grace to take a break and let your mind and body rest.

Have a good day everyone, and thanks for your continued prayers for our family.

Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
