It’s All In A Verse

There are some pretty amazing verses in the Bible. Well, I guess that might be the understatement of the century 🙂 .

This morning I read the daily text I receive from my friend, who is a priest. His daily scripture passages and reflections help start my day with a simple study of God’s word. As I sat down to write this little blog, I thought about not just the reflection for today, but about all of the scriptures.

There is such hope in the words we read. Yes, some books are difficult to read and digest; however, even in those moments, the Lord was trying to show His children the gifts He had provided.

If you’re like me, when times are difficult, I find myself reading verses of the Bible that bring hope. Verses that show how much God is with me.

Just a few that come to mind this morning:
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. – Jeremiah 29:11

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. – John 16:33

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. – Psalm 46:1

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. – John 3:16

These are just a few of the verses that come to mind when I find myself needing a boost from the Lord. He has given us such promise in His word. The more we read it, the stronger we become.

Take a moment this morning, friends, to think about the scripture verses that give you strength and hope. Read through them before you begin your day. Gain the strength you need to persevere through whatever comes your way today.

Have a good day, friends. Remember, God is with us; He will never forsake us, and He always wins.
