Thankful

I guess I could just end this little blog for the day with that one word: thankful. Ok, have a great rest of the day, everyone πŸ™‚ .

Seriously though, it’s a word that encompasses so much. This morning, I’m thankful that Hurricane Isaias was a fast-moving storm. It weakened a bit before landfall, but still hit as a Category 2 storm. I’m thankful for the preparations made by state and local teams to be ready to move as soon as the storm was over. I’m thankful for our Marco Patriots who are on the ground to help. I’m thankful for people, God’s children, who are ready to help each other.

Friends, whether you were impacted by this storm or not, today is a day to give thanks. Take a moment before you begin the day, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, sit, and give thanks. Give thanks for the blessings, the family, friends, and gifts that the Lord has provided. Give thanks for another day to do His work.

Thank you to all who are working today and in the days ahead to help all affected by Hurricane Isaias. Thank You, Lord, for watching over Your children and keeping them safe as they do their work. And…thank You, Lord, for the gift of Your Son.

Have a good day, friends. Prayers for all dealing with the aftermath of this storm. May the Lord keep you safe.

Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
