Many years ago, I got into a habit of posting a camel picture on social media on Wednesdays, reminding everyone that it was humpday and to make it a great one. It really did become “a thing”, even to the point that people would send camel memorabilia to me. I have a collection of stuffed camels, camel pillows, and camel figurines. When I would travel for work, everyone would comment on my posts, and yes, I’d frequently bring along one of my stuffed friends to trade shows and meetings. It was quite the time.
The camel posts were just to remind everyone that they had made it to the middle of the week and were on the downhill run to the weekend.
I thought about those posts this morning as I was putting together today’s little blog. Though I’ve gotten away from my camel posts, I found myself wanting to share a midweek boost. I began reading through some prayers and found one with a little inspiration for Wednesday. So, I share it here with you all this morning. No camel, just a prayer to our Lord 🙂 .
Heavenly Father, on this Wednesday, awaken something new within me. Fill my mind with inspiration and fresh ideas that bring light to my thoughts. Guide me to understand the purpose behind my steps today. Help me see meaning in what I do and remind me that my life has direction. Let this Wednesday bring clarity.
Merciful Lord, fill my heart with hope and a bright outlook today. Help me see possibilities and trust that good things are still ahead. Let this Wednesday carry a light and positive spirit within me. God, give me the energy and motivation I need to stay active and focused today.
Loving God, help me notice the beauty in simple things today. Let gratitude open my heart so I can see how much good already exists around me. May today feel meaningful through appreciation and awareness. All this I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Have a good day, friends; it’s the middle of the week, we’re on the downhill run to the weekend. Make it a great day, and while you’re at it, make someone else’s day better as well 🙂 .
Psalm 119:33
Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end.
