Change of Seasons

Well, season is back here in SW Florida. Those of us who live here full-time can tell the “change of the seasons” not when we see fall colors in the trees, but when we see car-transport trailers arriving. We’ve seen many of them lately; the increased traffic also signals the season’s beginning.

At church, many of our seasonal parishioners are back as well. Each Sunday, more and more familiar faces are coming in. Smiles and hugs are seen each Sunday as we welcome everyone home.

Our calendar is also full of seasonal events. We have a busy few weeks ahead, kicking off last night with our music series; tonight we host a welcome-back event, and in just two weeks, our annual Christmas market.

Finding this prayer this morning, I think it’s pretty appropriate for what my next few weeks look like. If, like me, you have some busy days ahead, I hope you’ll find this prayer gives you that extra boost you might need 🙂 .

Dear Heavenly Father, as I greet this new day, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the gift of life and the dawn of a new week. I place my trust in Your unfailing love, knowing that it is the anchor of my faith and the source of my strength.

Lord, in the quiet of this morning, I seek Your guidance and wisdom. Show me the way I should go as I navigate the challenges and opportunities that this week holds. Illuminate my path with Your light, and grant me the discernment to make choices that align with Your will.

I entrust my life and the experiences of this week into Your loving hands. May my actions and interactions reflect Your love and grace. Use me as an instrument of Your peace and a channel of Your blessings to those I encounter.

Lord, help me to find joy in the journey, hope in the uncertainties, and purpose in each moment. May this Monday morning prayer set the tone for a week filled with Your presence, Your guidance, and Your unfailing love.

In Your holy name, I pray. Amen

Have a good day, friends. Continued prayers for Bill and Lorrie and for the return of Emily Rea.

Psalm 143:8
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you, I entrust my life.”
