If you’re like me, there are times when you feel a little down, and maybe you aren’t even sure why. For me, this week, even though I’m with a wonderful group of people, the senior golf group that I work with, I’m feeling out of sorts. I shared yesterday in this little blog about my friend Polly, who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. I’m out of town and not in the office to help with her funeral preparations as I normally would. I’m so thankful for my team, who are handling everything beautifully, but I’m still struggling with not being there to help. Fortunately, we’ll be home in time to attend the funeral this weekend.
We have the difficult task of accepting the fact that we do not control many things in this world. Fortunately, the Lord is here when things happen outside of our control. He’s here to give us comfort, strength, peace, and hope for a new day. And…today is just that, a new day, one that Jesus wants us to live into fully π .
Today, friends, I share a song I’ve shared many times here. It’s a song of comfort, and one that always makes me smile inside. Today, I smile even more knowing that Polly is no longer imagining π
Have a good day, friends!
